DONATIONS
The Niceville High School NaGISA Team is constantly planning and preparing for trips around the world to establish NaGISA High School Initiative sites not only in the United States but also in other countries. This effort is extremely costly. No school resources can be used for these trips due to severe budget constraints. All money for trips must come from outside sources. Additionally, our team participates in an annual training trip to the University of Florida to obtain instruction in advanced preservation techniques and specimen identification. Finally, the collection and analysis aspects of the NaGISA project are costly as well. Students are currently required to pay for their own scuba equipment and boat transportation as well as dive masters, etc. to support the off-shore collection component—which is very expensive. There is always a need for analysis equipment and improved microscopes.
